Account type and the verified mark

You choose your “Account type” in Settings → Brand, and it shows under your name. The “Verified” mark is given by Mujaz only. It can't be bought, it doesn't come with any plan, and there is no request button, but you can ask support.

Account type

  1. 1. Open Settings → Brand (Opens in the Mujaz app).
  2. 2. In “Account type”, choose “Independent writer”, “Publisher or media outlet” or “Business”.
  3. 3. Press “Save”.

Your account type shows under your name on your public page and in Discover.

The verified mark

The “Verified” mark is granted by Mujaz, separately from the account type. It shows next to your name on your public page and in Discover. If your account is verified, the Brand tab says “This account is verified by Mujaz.”

What changes for a verified account:

  • Its posts are listed in Discover from day one.
  • It skips the new-account limits, such as the gradual warm-up on send size and the first-week import limit.

How to ask

There is no request button. From the Profile button at the bottom of the sidebar choose “Contact support” and write your question, or email [email protected].

Common questions

Do I get the mark with a paid plan?

No. It doesn't come with any plan and can't be bought. Only Mujaz grants it.

Will readers see that I'm not verified?

No. Accounts that aren't verified show no label at all.

What's the difference between account type and verification?

Account type is a description you choose. Verification is a mark Mujaz grants, and it changes some limits, such as being listed in Discover from day one.

  • Getting listed in Discover

Discover is Mujaz's public directory of Arabic newsletters, by subject. Your post is listed when your public page is on, your account is in good standing and the post passed the automatic content review, once your workspace is a day old.

  • Your public page

Your public page at mujaz.io/@handle shows your logo, name, a subscribe box and the archive of your posts. You set it up in Settings → Public Page, and changes save automatically.

  • Brand settings

In Settings → Brand you set your newsletter's name (the sender name in the inbox), description, logo, colours and social links. Press Save at the top of the tab after any change.

  • Why a send was held or refused

Mujaz checks every send before it goes out. An issue can be held for a quick review, moved to just after midnight by the daily limit, or refused for a specific reason. The message you see points to the cause and the fix.
