Create an issue

Press Create Newsletter and choose how to start: Create with AI, Start from Blank or Write an article. An issue then goes through four steps: Start, Content, Settings and Review.

Start from the yellow Create Newsletter button in the sidebar (it needs at least one subscriber) or from the create button in Newsletters (Opens in the Mujaz app).

Ways to start

  • Create with AI: paste your website link and press Create; Mujaz builds a first issue from your site's content. It uses one AI use.
  • Start from Blank, then Start Building: you add the blocks yourself.
  • Write an article: opens the Posts editor for a long article with its own web page. See Write a post.

If Mujaz has turned on Use my own HTML for your workspace, it appears here too, for pasting a whole email's HTML.

The editor steps

  1. 1. Start: choose how to begin.
  2. 2. Content: the block editor. The Content Blocks panel has Blocks and Library tabs — click or drag a block into the issue. The editing panel has Edit for the selected block and Settings for content width, column gap and Newsletter Language. At the bottom: Desktop, Mobile and Preview.
  3. 3. Settings: Basic Info, Audience and Team (who is credited in the footer).
  4. 4. Review: send a test and run the Spam Score Checker, then send now or schedule.

Newsletter Language sets the direction: Arabic right-to-left, English left-to-right.

What the Settings step needs

  • Newsletter Title (required): give a real title — “Untitled Newsletter” is refused. You can show it at the top of the email.
  • Email Subject Line (required): what readers see in their inbox. The AI Subject Line Generator can help.
  • Public link: the issue's web address, which you can edit.
  • Featured Image (required): 1200×630 recommended. Used for the issue's web page and link previews, not inside the email.
  • Audience Segment (required): despite the name, this picks the list the issue goes to. All Subscribers is the default.
  • Publish to public page: lists the issue in your public archive.

Common questions

The sidebar's Create Newsletter button is disabled

Your workspace has no subscribers. Add one, or start from the create button on the Newsletters page.

It says “Please fix the errors”

Usually the Featured Image is missing, or the title or subject.

Can I edit an issue after sending it?

No — the editor becomes read-only. Duplicate the issue and send the corrected copy.

  • Send your first issue

Add at least one subscriber, press Create Newsletter and go through the editor's four steps: Start, Content, Settings and Review. Send yourself a test before you send.

  • Editor blocks

An issue is built from blocks you add from the Content Blocks panel. Text, image, button, quote, divider, spacer, layouts, YouTube and social icons are on every plan; Cards are Lite and up; the HTML block and dynamic blocks are Starter and up.

  • Send a test email before you send

In the editor's Review step, send a test copy of the issue to yourself before it reaches subscribers. Each issue can be tested to up to 5 different addresses, and every test counts toward your monthly email allowance.

  • Send an issue now or schedule it

In the Review step, choose “Send immediately” or “Schedule for later”, then press the send button. You can cancel a schedule from the Scheduled tab as long as sending hasn't started.
