A sign-up form on your website

In Settings → Form Integration you customise your sign-up form, then copy the code from “Embed code” and paste it into your website's HTML. The form is on every plan.

Open Settings → Form Integration (Opens in the Mujaz app). It has three tabs: “Customize”, “Embed code” and “Advanced”.

1. Customise the form

  • “Form Content”: the title, description, button text and success message.
  • “Form Appearance”: the theme (Light or Dark), the style, and “Show Logo”.
  • “Collect Name” and “Require Name”.
  • “Collect Language Preference”: asks readers for their language and creates two lists, “Arabic Subscribers” and “English Subscribers”.

Press “Save Settings”.

2. Put the code on your site

  1. 1. Open the “Embed code” tab and press “Copy Code”.
  2. 2. Paste it into your site's HTML: in WordPress, a “Custom HTML” block; in Webflow, an Embed element; in Shopify, the theme template.
  3. 3. Open your page and try subscribing with your own email.

3. Advanced settings

  • “Double Opt-in”: subscribers confirm by email first and stay Pending until they click the link. It is forced on for every account's first 7 days.
  • “Success Redirect URL”: a page readers go to after subscribing. It must start with https://.
  • Webhook: an HTTPS address Mujaz posts each new subscriber to. Mujaz waits 5 seconds for a reply and does not retry.

Where new subscribers go

Everyone who joins through the form is added to “All Subscribers”, to the lists “Public Subscribers” and “Embed Subscribers”, and to the list for their language if you have one set. Without double opt-in they are Active at once and the welcome email starts; with double opt-in it starts once they confirm.

Common questions

I changed the form's look but my site didn't change. Why?

Pasted code keeps the options from when you copied it. Copy the code again from “Embed code” and replace the old one.

Can I connect the form to Zapier or another service?

There are no ready-made integrations yet. The closest is the webhook on the “Advanced” tab, which sends each new subscriber to your address.

Why are new subscribers Pending when I didn't turn on double opt-in?

Double opt-in is forced on for every account's first 7 days, whatever the setting.

  • Your public page

Your public page at mujaz.io/@handle shows your logo, name, a subscribe box and the archive of your posts. You set it up in Settings → Public Page, and changes save automatically.

  • The welcome email for new subscribers

The welcome email goes automatically to every new subscriber the moment they become active, once per subscriber. Create it in Settings → “Automation”, then switch on “Enable automation”. Available on every plan.

  • Subscriber lists

A list is a group of subscribers you send a particular issue to. Create one on the Subscriber Lists tab, add people by hand or with a CSV, then choose it in the editor under “Audience Segment”.

  • Subscribe and confirm

Enter your email in the sign-up form on the newsletter's page or the writer's website. Some newsletters ask you to confirm by email; click the link in it and issues start arriving.
