You can send your issues from an address you own, such as Gmail, Outlook or a work address, without setting up a domain.

  1. 1. Open Settings → Domain & Email (Opens in the Mujaz app).
  2. 2. In the “Email Sender” section, type your address in “From Email”.
  3. 3. Press “Save Sender Settings”. One confirmation email arrives at that address. Check your spam folder too.
  4. 4. Open the confirmation email and click its link or button (see the two kinds below).
  5. 5. Go back to the Domain & Email tab. The status updates when the page loads, and “Verified” shows under the field.

Which confirmation email will you get?

  • Most providers (Gmail, Outlook and others): an email from Amazon, “أكّد عنوان المُرسِل · Confirm your sender address”. Click the link at the bottom. It works for 24 hours. Once confirmed, your issues come from your address.
  • Providers that forbid other services from sending as their addresses (Yahoo, AOL, iCloud, and any company domain with a strict DMARC rule): an email “أكّد بريدك · Confirm your email” with a “Confirm my email” button. Once confirmed, your issues go out under your name from the Mujaz address, and replies come to your address.

Until you confirm, issues keep going out from [email protected]. The line under the field shows the state: waiting, “Verified”, or link expired.

If confirming doesn't work

  • The link expired, or you see “invalid or expired link”: press “Save Sender Settings” again for a fresh email. Each save sends a new link and the older one stops working.
  • “This email is already verified by another account.”: that address belongs to another Mujaz workspace. Use another address or contact support.
  • “Cannot use another @mujazmail.com address”: only your own [email protected] is allowed.
  • “Custom sender email not available on your plan”: this is on Growth and up.

Common questions

Do I need my own domain to send from my address?

No. Type the address in “From Email” and confirm it from the email that arrives there.

I confirmed my iCloud address. Why do issues come from the Mujaz address?

That is on purpose. iCloud, Yahoo and AOL forbid other services from sending as their addresses, so Mujaz sends under your name from its own address and replies come to you. That keeps your issue out of spam.

How do I go back to the Mujaz address?

Press “Reset to Default” on the Domain & Email tab. The address goes back to [email protected] and the confirmed address is forgotten.

  • Sender name and address

Readers see your brand name in their inbox, and your issues come from your Mujaz address [email protected] with nothing to set up. From the Growth plan you can change the sender name, address and reply-to on the Domain & Email tab.

  • Send from your own domain

Register a domain such as newsletter.yoursite.com under “Custom Domain”, add the three DKIM records at your DNS provider, then change “From Email” to an address on that domain. Available from the Growth plan.

  • How to stay out of spam

Send only to people who asked for your newsletter, use full direct links, send to engaged readers, check the “Spam Score Checker” tips before sending, and send from your verified domain if you can. Mujaz handles the rest: an unsubscribe link in every email, no more mail to bounced or complaining addresses, and link checks before sending.
