Sender name and address

Readers see your brand name in their inbox, and your issues come from your Mujaz address [email protected] with nothing to set up. From the Growth plan you can change the sender name, address and reply-to on the Domain & Email tab.

Every Mujaz workspace has a ready sending address: [email protected], where handle is your link in Settings → Brand. This address always works and needs no verification.

The name in the inbox

The name readers see is your “Brand Name”, until you save a “From Name” on the Domain & Email tab. After that, the From Name is used. To change your brand name:

1. Open Settings → Brand (Opens in the Mujaz app).
2. Type the new name in “Brand Name”.
3. Make sure “Brand Description” is filled in. The tab will not save while it is empty.
4. Press “Save”.

Sender address and reply-to

On Growth and up, open Domain & Email (Opens in the Mujaz app). The “Email Sender” section has:

“From Name”: 2–100 characters, no HTML.
“From Email”: the address your issues come from. It can be your personal address once confirmed, or an address on your own domain.
“Reply-To Email” (optional): where readers' replies go.
“Postal address” (optional, up to 300 characters): printed in every newsletter footer. Anti-spam laws ask for it.

Press “Save Sender Settings”. The line “Emails appear as” shows exactly what readers will see. To go back to your Mujaz address, press “Reset to Default”. This also forgets any personal address you confirmed.

Common questions

I typed a From Name but readers still see my brand name. Why?

The From Name is only used after you press “Save Sender Settings”. Then check the “Emails appear as” line: it shows the name in use now.

Does my sender address change if I change my link?

Yes. The default address is built from your link, so changing the link changes [email protected] too. See Your handle.

Can I send from my Gmail address?

Yes, from the Growth plan. Type it in “From Email” and confirm it. See Send from your personal address.

Send from your personal address
Type your address in “From Email”, press “Save Sender Settings”, then confirm it from the email that arrives there. No domain needed. Available from the Growth plan.
Send from your own domain
Register a domain such as newsletter.yoursite.com under “Custom Domain”, add the three DKIM records at your DNS provider, then change “From Email” to an address on that domain. Available from the Growth plan.
Brand settings
In Settings → Brand you set your newsletter's name (the sender name in the inbox), description, logo, colours and social links. Press Save at the top of the tab after any change.
Your handle and links
Your link is mujaz.io/@handle, and your default sender address [email protected] is built from it. Change it in Settings → Brand → “Your link”; the old link keeps working and sends readers to the new one.
