Your handle and links
Your link is mujaz.io/@handle, and your default sender address [email protected] is built from it. Change it in Settings → Brand → “Your link”; the old link keeps working and sends readers to the new one.
Your handle is used everywhere: your public page at mujaz.io/@handle, each post at mujaz.io/@handle/post-link, short links, and the default sending address [email protected].
Change your link
- 1. Open Settings → Brand (Opens in the Mujaz app).
- 2. Type the new link in “Your link”.
- 3. Wait for “Available ✓”. If it still says “Checking…” or shows an error, the rest of the tab saves but the link does not.
- 4. Make sure “Brand Description” is filled in, then press “Save”.
- 5. A “Your link changed” message appears and the page reloads.
The rules
- English letters, numbers and single hyphens.
- 3–30 characters, with no hyphen at the start or end.
- Reserved words nobody can use, such as admin, support, help, discover, newsletter and similar.
- A handle any workspace has ever used stays taken forever, so old links never break. You can move back to your own old one.
Error messages
- “Your handle needs at least 3 characters.”: add letters.
- “Your handle can be 30 characters at most.”: shorten it.
- “Use English letters, numbers and single hyphens only.”: remove spaces, Arabic letters and symbols.
- “That word is reserved. Try another handle.”: it is one of the reserved words.
- “That handle is already taken.”: another workspace has used it.
Short links
Every published post gets a short link: mujaz.io/@handle followed by a 4-letter code. Copy it from the “Link” field in the post's settings. If you change a published post's link, the old one keeps redirecting. See Publish a post.
Common questions
Will my old links break if I change my handle?
No. The old link keeps working and sends readers to the new one.
Can I use Arabic letters in my handle?
No. The handle takes English letters, numbers and hyphens only. Each post's own link can use Arabic letters.
The handle I want is taken. Can it be freed?
No. A handle any workspace has used stays reserved so its links never break. Choose another one.
